We are a small press dedicated to empowering independent voices. You write it. We help you present it to the world.
We work toward our mission in several ways:
We offer a range of editorial and publishing support services to empower independent authors to write, self-publish, and market professional-quality books. These authors retain their publishing rights.
Currently by invitation only, we also publish books across a variety of genres through our Hill Press imprint. We look for perspective-shifting work and stories that need to be told.
We are preparing to launch the first annual Hill Press Literary Prize, a contest with a double mission. First, to recognize excellence in writing by already published independent and small-press authors. Second, to raise funds to support a publishing fellowship for authors who have important work to share but are in need of financial support to help cover publication costs.
I have edited two books so far and am currently working on a third. It has been an exciting endeavor and a great change of pace for me. If you or anyone you know is thinking of self-publishing a book and is looking for some support, please be sure to reach out!
